•“I have had the great pleasure of working with Brenda for the past [six] years. In that time, I have found her to be both a talented graphic artist, and an enthusiastic team leader. On project after project, she came through with elegant and creative solutions to the most challenging layout problems, and no amount of changes from our clients ever seemed to be too much for her. She is a true professional in everything she does. As an art team leader, she is well organized, calm in the face of adversity, and always fair in her treatment of her team. She does very well balancing multiple projects and resolving conflicting deadlines. Time and time again she has come through when a tough project is on the line. Given the opportunity, I would be thrilled to work with Brenda again, and I know that she will be a tremendous asset to any organization lucky enough to hire her.” June 5, 2009

Letters of Recommendation

BINARY LABS

Reference for Brenda Salamone
July, 2009
I have had the pleasure of working with Brenda at BinaryLabs since 2003.
She is a talented graphic artist and enthusiastic and supportive team member. Brenda is flexible and expert in the team roles she plays whether it’s as art lead managing a team of art contractors, a member of a large art team collaborating on the art, or as the sole artist on a project. She developed art for a number of platforms and quickly learned the different tools, and requirements for CD, Internet, handhelds, DVD set-top, and print deliverables. She is well-versed in art tools, Photoshop, Flash, and continually learning the subtleties of these to improve her skills. Brenda creates art in a variety of styles, whatever is needed to meet the look and feel of the product, font treatments, graphic art, illustration and animation for pre-school children to adult audiences, from fanciful to realistic and scientific. Working with the licensor’s style guides, Brenda created licensed character art for top entertainment titles with SpongeBob, Dora, Scooby, Cars, and many others. In addition to her art expertise, she played an important role in the development of proposals as art team member preparing discovery questions for client calls, representing the company during client calls, defining and estimating the tasks for each unique project, creating sample art comps, and providing art write-ups for proposals. Working with multiple clients on tight schedules, Brenda always came through with great art that met the client’s vision and supported the instructional and entertainment goals. Brenda is a professional and will be a valuable team member to the fortunate organization she works with. I’d be happy to speak with you further about Brenda. I can be reached on 619-991-3736.

SONY ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT

November 5, 2001
To Whom It May Concern,
Brenda [Salamone] worked for me at Sony Online Entertainment for approximately seven months. During that time she consistently proved herself as a very talented, and dedicated Artist. She seems to have found the perfect mix of technical savvy and artistic ability, where one enhances the other. Her imaginative ideas and their implementation were always fresh and original, and her enthusiasm for her work was contagious to the rest of our team. She looked forward to learning new tools and skills, and always did so with confidence and ease. Brenda’s lay off from SOE was in no way related to performance. Loss of advertising revenue forced severe budget cutbacks and a total reorganization of the Casual Games Division. She was one of many very talented people who were unfortunately displaced by these events. I feel confident in recommending Brenda for whatever position she chooses to pursue. Her talents combined with her positive attitude and drive to excel will ensure her success at whatever she does. She will be a tremendous asset to any team! Should you wish to contact me regarding this letter please feel free to call me at the number below. I will be happy to speak to you in person regarding Brenda.
Sincerely,
Laurie Fuller

To Whom it May Concern:

Brenda Tracy worked for me at Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) for almost a year as an Artist. I am writing this letter to confirm that her recent layoff from SOE was not in any way tied to her performance, and to highly recommend her as an employee with your organization.

Had I been given a choice, I would have not laid Brenda off. But it was not my decision to make. The area Brenda worked in, Casual Games, generates primary revenue off ad sales, which have seen a marked decline in this year and have little indication of improving any time soon. As a result of this SOE has restructured to decrease our investment in this area, and the result of the reorganization left no other position open for Brenda. We regretfully had to let her go.

Brenda is a creative, enthusiastic artist who performs consistently and to a high level. I have no doubt that given a longer period together we could have found other areas for her to branch into to as well. Should conditions at SOE change, I wouldn't hesitate to hire her back.

If you would like to speak to me personally regarding this letter or Brenda's time here, feel free to call (858) 577-3111.

Sincerely,

Richard Lawrence

Dear Sir or Madam:

Brenda Tracy is a highly talented and motivated professional. In working with her on various products, including the original puzzle-game, Rick O’Shea’s Adventure, I have found her to be both a productive, prolific artist and a strong, flexible collaborator.
She would be an asset to any project or team, and she thrives in an integrated team environment. She is a strong and creative independent artist who requires only a few nudges in the right direction to create multiple options for a product. In addition, she is that most rare of commodities – a committed and flexible collaborator, who is always willing to listen to ideas, make changes, and alter her work to fit the technical or aesthetic specifications of the product.

Moreover, she is extremely quick about creating new art, and is willing to put in extra effort when it is required to meet a deadline. She has a wide array of technical skills and mastery of most major software.
Finally, she is a pleasure to work with; her personality is extremely positive and she always comes into work with a “can do” attitude.

Sincerely,
Dallas Dickinson
Producer

Dear Sir or Madame:

While we were only able to employ Brenda for a couple of months, the work she did for us was more than sufficient. Brenda has an excellent aptitude for learning, and was able to step into unfamiliar projects with a minimum of supervision. Brenda is talented, smart and eager, and would be an asset to any company.
